Position Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled Data Science Specialist to lead our data analysis and modeling efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in statistics, machine learning, and programming, with experience working with large datasets. This role will be responsible for developing predictive models, analyzing data trends, and providing actionable insights to inform business decisions.

Responsibilities:

Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business problems and opportunities for leveraging data-driven solutions. Collect, clean, and preprocess data from multiple sources to ensure its quality and integrity. Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover insights and trends hidden within the data. Develop predictive models and machine learning algorithms to solve specific business problems. Evaluate model performance and refine algorithms to improve accuracy and efficiency. Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders through data visualization and storytelling. Collaborate with engineers to deploy models into production and integrate them into existing systems. Stay current with the latest developments in data science, machine learning, and related fields.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. Master's or Ph.D. preferred. Proven experience as a Data Scientist or similar role, with a track record of delivering impactful data-driven solutions. Strong programming skills in languages such as Python or R, with experience using libraries like NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, and TensorFlow. Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases. Solid understanding of statistical concepts and techniques, such as hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and clustering. Experience with machine learning algorithms and techniques, including supervised and unsupervised learning, ensemble methods, and deep learning. Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques, such as Matplotlib, Seaborn, and Tableau. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka. Knowledge of cloud platforms and services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP) techniques and libraries. Contributions to open-source projects or a strong GitHub profile. Certifications in data science or related fields (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics Specialty, Google Professional Data Engineer).
